“Now there was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort. He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was all his household; he did many acts of charity for the people and prayed to God regularly. About three o’clock one afternoon he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, ‘Cornelius.’” Acts 10:1-3

Cornelius was an Italian Centurion. (a Roman soldier, commander of 100 men) He wasn’t even a Christian, yet. But he was living a devout, God-fearing life. God speaks to everyone who will listen.

In the case of Cornelius God spoke to him in a vision, through an angel that called him by name. The angel then went on to give him specific instructions about where to go to find out about how to be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.

Cornelius obeyed the angelic message. He and his entire household were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.

I was having visions for years and I had no idea what was happening. I thought it was my imagination. When I would pray, I would see things, but I paid no attention to it. When I would ask God to speak to me, it would drive me crazy to see all the images in my head. I would ask God to stop it, because I wanted to hear him.—DUH!— God speaks to us through visions. You can see angels too.
