For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes. – John 5:21

JESUS always did the Father’s will. The Father raises the dead, so Jesus would raise the dead. We are adopted sons of the same Father, and we have the same inheritance. The apostles raised the dead, and Paul prayed in Ephesians 1 that the Ephesians would understand their inheritance and the incomparably great power that worked in them—the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

I’m so glad I believed this the day my son died. I stood over his dead body praying for 40 minutes in that hospital. Then God gave life back to Nathanael’s little lifeless body. Some get very angry that I insinuate that my prayer had anything to do with that miracle, that day. Some are deeply hurt because they have prayed for miracles that didn’t happen.

I’m sorry for your pain.

All I know is that God’s Word is true. My inheritance is secure, and My Father raises the dead. So can I! So can I! It is your inheritance, too!
