“After being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back by another route to their own country.” – Matthew 2:12

The wise men paid attention to their dreams. Do you?

Some say that God has given us everything we need to know in the Bible. They would accuse anyone who believes that God still speaks through other means of having a low view of scripture. I contend the opposite. Scripture reveals a God who is very personal, and He gives specific guidance to His people—and sometimes even to those who are not following Him.

All through Bible history, God has spoken through dreams. The wisest men throughout the Bible were dreamers. They ended up as the heads of governments because they paid attention to their dreams. Joseph, Isaiah, and Daniel were some of the men who dreamed dreams, recognized that they were from God, interpreted dreams—and God raised them up to positions of authority.

Learn to pay attention to your dreams. Ask God to help you interpret them. Who knows? God may make you wise and a leader among leaders, if you pay attention to your dreams.

After Jesus was baptized, … the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming on him. – Matthew 3:16
