“Where is the one who is born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

The wise men (or Kings?) who came from the east had come to worship a baby who was born to be King.

They packed their bags with treasures, they traveled a great distance and they came, just to see and to worship a baby. This was no ordinary baby. This baby was born, “King of the Jews.”

They were wise, if for no other reason than for the fact that they knew what was more important than treasures of this world, and more important than their own agendas. They were wise because they pursued Jesus.

Jesus is the pinnacle of all time and all creation. He is God in human form. He is the creator who was born in human form. He is the Messiah.

He deserves to be worshipped. He deserves for us to set aside our agendas and our earthly resources to bow before Him. He is worthy, and those who are wise still seek and worship Him.
